16. As a woman, is feminism necessary? Why?
I think it is necessary because there is sex discrimination against women, for example, income differentials, little access to the executive position, and the idea that women should do most of housework in spite of double-income household.

Yes. There are still places women are treated differently from men.

I think some young people don't know what definitely feminism is. First, I want them to know the present situation of women and the effect of feminism. Although Feminism is too serious problem for teenagers and it is difficult for them to consider,

Yes. Age of marriage, employment laws and business related laws.

30. Should women register for military draft?
I think no. Because not all women are phisically and mentally up for job. Women are physically weaker than men. Being equal doesn't mean the same.

1. What is Feminism?
A range of movements and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women.

2. Do you think you are a Feminist? Why?
No, because I've never knew what feminism was before I started researching about it.

3. What are the good and bad points on being a Feminist.
Good: You can help spreading the idea that women and men should be treated fairly.
Bad: You might have to pay a high amount of money to take part in a feminism movement.

4. What would you do if your wage was different from male?
Complain about it inside the company first. If it didn't work, be a feminist.

5. How do you feel about feminism?
I think it is a good movement. It gives a chance to understand about women's rights and how women are treated differently.

Because there still are some places where treating women differently from men.

If I have a chance. I would like to talk with people who is taking part in feminism movement.

I hope so. To stop gender discrimination, feminism will play a very important role.

Feminism is a movement and Sexism is a gender discrimination.

Discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex or gender, as in restricted job opportunities, especially such discrimination directed against women.

Sexual harrasment, wage difference, domestic violence... etc

They often can't be in higher place like CEO.

13. Is the wage gap due to women raising children?
No. The gender doesn't matter.

14. Why don't we have women President in Japan?
Because we all have an image of  a male president or a prime minister.

The word “feminism” has the power to unite women in common causes, strike fear in men and some women who don’t understand it’s meaning, and rally those together who blame the feminist movement for all of the world’s woes. Since its start, feminism has been blamed for every social anguish imaginable including exploding divorce rates, teenage alcoholism, domestic violence, single parent homes, and behavior problems in children. It is an often feared and hated concept believed by many to embody the loss of moral and family standards. Throughout the movements history one constant has remained: those who do not understand the movement or what it stands for are often its most outspoken critics.
  

Feminism is today – as it was almost forty years ago – a “movement for social, political, and economic equality of men and women”. When given this definition, 67 percent of people polled say that they agree with the feminist movement. Without such a clear-cut definition however, the feminist movement is equated to such acts as “bra burning”, “men hating” and “aggressiveness” by both men and women alike who fail to understand the basic underlying goals of the movement itself. To complicate the matter further, there is a lack of agreement among those who proclaim themselves as “feminists” on what the movement actually stands for.
